An elegant nature-inspired wedding with modern touches, inspired by the classic Vermont views at Shelburne Farms
Norah + Jeff were married on June 8, 2019 at the iconic Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont.
Each piece of Norah and Jeff’s invitation suite featured a different view of the gorgeous property, rendered by Emily in watercolor. From lakes, to trees, to mountains, to vineyards, there was plenty of scenery to inspire the whole wedding suite.
The invitation featured a view of the tree-lined lake, hand calligraphy and a dark blue belly band tied with white twine and a stamped wax seal. The invitation was enclosed in a forest green envelope with white calligraphy, and the envelope liners featured a custom watercolor design showcasing a zoomed-in view of the tall wooded pines. For the day-of stationery, we brought some additional natural elements into the design with a wreath of watercolor greenery, and we also repurposed some of the invitation components with a slight variation. Dramatic canvas seating chart scrolls escorted guests to their seats, and we brought back the wax seal from the invitation suite, this time in gold.
There’s so much to love about this suite, and we couldn’t have done it without the coordination and collaboration of one of our favorite Vermont wedding planners, Sophia of Willow Hill Design!
