Irish Manor Editorial Shoot

A sophisticated editorial shoot inspired by the historic Gloster House manor in the foothills of Ireland, with stationery in soft blues and corals with detailed florals and modern calligraphy

“Chintzy Matchimalist” wedding inspiration at Gloster House in Dublin, Ireland

Ever since Olivia and Colin’s incredible October wedding at Gloster House, this Irish venue has been one of our favorite international wedding venues. Set in the heart of the Irish Midlands, Gloster House is a restored 300-year-old estate featuring lush gardens, woodlands and lakes. The property and architecture is truly magnificent. Everything from the table setting, hair, dress, makeup and stationery was inspired by this magical venue in Ireland. When Kate O’Dowd asked me to participate in an editorial shoot with Paula O’Hara, one of Irelands most sought-after photographers, it was a no-brainer to ship some special pieces across the pond for the occasion.

Inspired by the natural light, antique details, and soft color scheme, the color palette incorporated dusty corals, powder blues, and sepia-tinged pastels. The inspiration was a modern take on chintzy matchimalism, with inspiration by various toile patterns used throughout the venue.

The wedding suite incorporates plenty of intricate floral accents, soft pinks and blue hues. Floral patterns were inspired by the interior decor of the manor. We also wanted to highlight the architecture of Gloster House itself, so we created a custom drawn illustration for the the Save the date. Paired with hand-written calligraphy and vintage-inspired florals, this wedding suite is full of beauty and charm. Suzanne at Cove Cake Design was able to hand-paint my designs onto the cake to create an incredible seamless design thread!
